President's Message   Dear Members, Winter is behind us and gardeners can start soil building in readiness for Spring and Summer crops.With this is mind, the Committee has arranged for the September Working bee to be a working time dedicated to improving your own garden beds.So on Sunday 17 September 2023 be at the garden in your working gear ready to shovel soil improving compost onto your garden. We have four wheelbarrows or you may wish to bring a bucket and collect the compost in that rather than wait for a barrow. Keen gardeners may like to enhance the compost with some manure or peat to fertilize and improve Water retention.Our next AGM is on 15 October 2023. Nominations are open for all Committee positions.   President's Message Dear Members and friends,Welcome to our new members:Merelyn and Yosi and their families Plot 4 commencing in JulyKris and family Plot 25Alison and Michi and families Plot 43Lina and Dougall and family Plot 46. The Building Taskforce has been busy replacing rotten garden edging in the plots that most needed it. Sleeper replacement has been finalised for plots 1, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 43. Thanks to Phil Redelman and Daniel Bloom who risked life and limb getting the hardwood to site and in place - hard work!!   President's Message Dear Plotters & Friends, Watering has been on the agenda again as the weather has become warmer with less rain about. I would like to thank all the members who were at our first Working Bee in February for their tremendous efforts getting order back into the garden after our break from November. Summer newsletter – 2022

President's Message Dear Plotters & Friends, 2022 has been a busy year back in the garden.The Building team has installed a new working bench (guaranteed to be waterproof), paved around the work bench, raised and polished the shed floor, restored and varnished the garden benches, relocated the BBQ outside, rebuilt and strengthened the weathervane and tool storage column, installed a street library by the front gate, and set up a gardening, landscaping, architecture and arts reference library. The Compost team has participated in training and implemented new layering and aeration practices for compost production. President's Message A very warm welcome to our new members: Peter Still (Plot 1), Daisy Clementine and her family Ray and Yuankee (Plot 17), Dominique Novak D'Hennin and her mum Priscilla (Plot 26), Daniel Bloom (Plot 34) and Lisa Southcott who is assisting with the community plots. The garden is looking good after a long, wet winter. Thank you all for keeping Cooper Park Community Garden so well maintained and productive. Our hard work has paid off with Woollahra Council voting unanimously to extend our 816sqm land lease for another three years with an option (theirs not ours) to further extend for another two. This gives the CPCG Organising Committee the certainty we need to continue investing in improving the garden infrastructure....
